I'm really enjoying this series. It's sort of a mix of Hammett and Donald Westlake's Dortmunder with a dash of Chandler. Great, well developed characters and I like that some are now recurring. All the stories I've read so far have pretty convoluted plots. One thing I don't like is at the end when Sherlock is figuring it out we are not given any of the clues so that we could figure it out too. The end was a little disappointing as far as the evildoer getting his just desserts and it would be nice if at least once Sherlock could make some money, that is one plot device that is getting old, how poor this guy is.Product details

As expected, I have enjoyed the read immensely. As expected, I am still frustrated that RS is unable to get himself even mildly financially stable...the self-confessed ineptitude that he has for money, car, telecommunication and women is a common theme that I want Jim to start sorting out in his future books in the series...otherwise the comedy might become something else!
A crazy set of characters with names to match. This was a great case but not my favorite of the series. It was a bit too zany and absurd at times. But Sherlock and Tiffany remain a great but odd duo. The ending never fails to fully satisfy the reader and I love the dramatic conclusion.
Good cast of characters. Interesting and multifaceted mystery. Mr. Sherlock is a good detective. Hope he'll find a way to make it pay in the future.
The entire set of books is good and I enjoyed reading this one as much as the previous ones. The downside is that things do get a bit formulaic by the third book. There were surprises and it is worth reading, but much of it is very similar to the previous in the series. With a couple of more twists, I'd up it to 4 stars.
So enjoying following along as Sherlock figures out the cases he has the misfortune of being assigned. I love the type of father he is and the life lessons he tries to pass along.
Something hit me though as I started this 4th book - how on earth does Tiffany find him wherever he may be?!? Does she GPS track him via phone? Because I just don't believe he keeps her updated on his whereabouts 24/7 and yet she shows up looking for him in places that don't make a lot of sense now that I think about it...
This series is not for you if you like the deep and dark mystery. I have read all of the series because sometimes I need and want a smile or a laugh along with a pretty good mystery. Sherlock is s kind and gentle divorced man with two daughters whom he loves and worries about. His assistant, Tiffany (her father owns the company for whom Sherlock works) is rich an spoiled but extremely likeable. The story lines are good enough to keep me interested and want to buy the next one!
Richard Sherlock is a private detective working for the Richmond Insurance Company. He is saddled with the spoiled daughter of the owner of Richmond Insurance Tiffany Richmond. Why he puts up with her is the big question. She is always late, asked impertinent questions and he always has to keep her out of trouble. He is investigating a large amount of money that has been cyber stolen. What he knows about computers can be put in an envelope.
